How to write memos, reports the right way

MANILA, Philippines — Filipinos are no stranger to the English language. In 2016, Philippines ranked 13th on the list of the best non-native English speakers in the world. However, based on the British Councils’ International English Language Testing System (IELTS), there is still a massive need to work on the way Filipinos express themselves on paper. Poor writing skills can take a toll in all forms of business transactions which requires written communication.

To enhance one’s writing skills, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a one-day training titled, Write Right for Positive Results: Best Practices Guide to One-Page Business Letters, Memos and Reports on Nov. 29, 2018 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

This course will use classic examples of different businesses that you must learn from.

This unique program will feature Lucris Carina Agnir-Paraan, course director at the Center for Global Best Practices. She finished her doctorate degree, major in English Studies at the University of the Philippines in Diliman where she was awarded the “Outstanding Dissertation” of the College of Arts and Letters. She earned her MA in Language and Literature at the University of the Philippines in Baguio where she graduated with a 1.007 GPA. Her AB in Philosophy was also earned at UP Diliman, and she graduated high school at the International School of Kuala Lumpur where she was the first Asian and first woman editor-in-chief of the school paper.
