Trainings on CAS compliance, SC labor rulings slated in Cebu

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Center for Global Best Practices will bring two of its special trainings: “BIR Computerized Accounting System Compliance for Medium and Large Taxpayers” on Sept. 20, 2018 and “Critical Supreme Court Decisions on Labor Cases” on Sept. 21, 2018 at the Quest Hotel Cebu, Cebu City due to the clamor of large taxpayers, lawyers, HR managers, practitioners, businessmen, entrepreneurs and those who were not able to attend the Manila programs.

This learning initiative on BIR CAS compliance will help the 3,780 large taxpayers and also the top 500 medium-sized provincial taxpayers in every revenue district – which has the equivalent classification of a large taxpayer – to help them hurdle compliance issues and equip them with the right knowledge on getting their BIR CAS accreditation. This lecture will feature seasoned practitioner Bienvenido Constantino, whose expertise includes aligning large taxpayers’ IT-based accounting systems to comply with the regulations on CAS. He is the CEO of Helix Software Technologies, an Australian IT firm specializing in cloud technologies designed for SME, medium and large enterprises as well as for LGUs.

The other featured Cebu training is a labor update on the most recent Supreme Court decisions on labor cases that management can use to help improve HR policies and contracts, guide organizations with the right strategies in employee engagements, and provide remedies in resolving and preventing disastrous labor problems. This program will feature law expert practitioner, Atty. Elvin Villanueva.

Registration is open to the general public. Public officials and government employees that will benefit from such training programs initiated by reputable private institutions are exempted from the P2,000 limit set by COA based on the DBM Circular 563 dated April 22, 2018.

Seats are limited and pre- registration is required. Check www.cgbp.ph for details or call landlines in Manila (+63 2) 842-7148/ 59 and (+63 2) 556-8968/ 69, in Baguio (+63 74) 423-2914, in Cebu (+63 32) 512-3106 or 07, or Legazpi City (+63 52) 736-0148.)
