Ayala bringing in ‘digital workforce’

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala Corp., the country’s oldest conglomerate, is bringing “digital workforce” to the country through its solutions and services company HCX Technology Partners Inc.

HCX has signed an exclusive partnership with Automation Anywhere Inc., a US-based developer of robotic process automatic (RPA) software.

The agreement will enable HCX to bring to the Philippine market a host of digital workforce services through RPA.

The so-called RPA is the underlying technology that has given rise to digital workforce solutions that enable employees to re-tool and focus on high value skills such as critical thinking and complex problem solving, driving a typical 80 percent increase in employee productivity and zero error rates.

It is dubbed as the application of technology that allows employees in a company to configure computer software or a “robot” to process transactions and data and trigger responses and communicate these with other digital systems.

It also decreases costs by an estimated 50 percent.

As exclusive Philippine partner, HCX will have access to Automation Anywhere’s cutting-edge tools and best practices to ably support its digital-ready customer base, while being the exclusive license reseller and preferred implementation partner.

HCX managing director Ike Amigo said there is an increasing adoption of RPA globally.

Through the partnership, HCX will be able to bring the country to the next level of digital age through its digital workforce transformation solutions and services, Amigo said.

HCX, formerly HRMall Inc., started in 2006 as a shared services company of the Ayala Group responsible for automating and centralizing payroll systems and solutions across the conglomerate.

Now nearing its 12th year, HCX provides human resource technology through emerging technologies, which remove process waste while introducing automation to benefit its customers.
