MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Stock Exchange has announced that there will be no trading on Tuesday.

PSE President and chief executive officer Ramon Monzon issued the memorandum of suspension early Tuesday.

"Please be advised that there will be no trading at the Philippine Stock Exchange and no clearing and settlement at the Securities Clearing Corporation of the Philippines today, September 12, due to the suspension of clearing and settlement operations in the Philippine banking system," the memorandum circular read.

PSE also made the announcement online.

Aside from the PSE, the Malacañang also announced cancelation of work in government offices in Metro Manila, Region III, and Calabarzon due to the two weather disturbances, Typhoon Lannie and Tropical Depression Maring prevailing in the country. The suspension covers the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
