PCC adds two new officials
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has welcomed two legal experts to join its team.
Amabelle Asuncion and Gwen Grecia-De Vera will be added as part of the anti-trust agency’s pioneer set of officials.
Asuncion will serve as the fourth commissioner of the PCC, completing the roster of the decision-making panel of the anti-trust body. Grecia-De Vera, meanwhile, will serve as executive director.
“Commissioner Asuncion and executive director De Vera’s previous experience in both the public and private sectors add to their edge in balancing boardroom concerns and consumer welfare in implementing the Philippine Competition Act,” PCC chairman Arsenio Balisacan said.
According to the PCC, Asuncion has extensive experience in both commercial and corporate practice within the context of private and public sector issues.
She has handled different business sectors, as well as dealt with various regulatory compliance and policy reforms.
For her part, Grecia-De Vera is regarded as having vast legal experience and practice that also straddle private and public sector concerns.
