Seminar on credit risk ratings for banks, quasi-banks
MANILA, Philippines - To help banks and other BSP-supervised financial institutions comply with BSP Circular 855 which it prescribed effective Nov. 19, 2014, the Center for Global Best Practices is launching a two-day seminar titled, Best Practices in Credit Risk Ratings for Banks to be held on Nov. 25 and 26, 2015 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
The seminar is a specialized credit risk management program designed for the benefit of all kinds of banks including non-bank financial intermediaries such as financing companies and investment houses with commercial lending and syndicated loan operations. The seminar will feature Paulino Rodolfo E. Valenzuela, Ph.D., who is the lead partner on banking programs of the Center for Global Best Practices.
His past experiences in banking include being vice-chairman and president of GSIS Family Bank, executive director of Price Waterhouse Coopers, senior vice president and chief risk officer of Philippine Business Bank, director of research of the Philippine Dealing System Group. VP of Exportbank, chief economist of the BAP, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Ayala Investment and Development Corp. and director of PRIMIA.
He also served as resource person to the BAIPHIL, Ateneo-BAP, BSP Institute, FINEX, CMAP, the RBAP and many other risk management training programs and symposia organized by professional organizations in the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region.
