BIR announces ITS maintenance sked
MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Integrated Tax System (ITS) is undergoing a systems maintenance and upgrade from Dec. 12, 2014, 5 p.m. to Jan. 5, 2015, 7 a.m.
Its functionalities such as but not limited to issuance of authority to print, registration of new taxpayers, encoding of returns, generation of ITS reports, and file transfer protocol (FTP) of Alphalist, MAP, SAWT, SLS/SLP/SLI from the revenue district offices to the ITS will not be available during the period, except in the large taxpayers and CDF databases.
Taxpayers can still pay through the authorized agent banks (AABs), electronic filing and payment system (eFPS), and the mobile revenue collection officer system (MRCOS). Uploading of payments data, however, will commence on Jan. 5, 2015.
The BIR is requesting all taxpayers and the public to transact their business with the BIR before 5 p.m. today to avoid any inconvenience resulting from the ITS downtime. The ITS downtime is meant to make the ITS more efficient and responsive to taxpayers’ needs.
