How to avoid election disputes with SOCE

MANILA, Philippines - Pursuant to Comelec Resolution 9476 and Republic Act 7166 mandating all election candidates and political parties – would-be winners and losers – in the 2013 election exercise are strictly required to submit their Statement of Election Contributions and Expenditures.  There are 11 forms. 

The winners who will not submit this requirement correctly will not be allowed to assume their elective post with permanent disqualification from running in the next election exercise.  The would-be losers will not be allowed to run again for another election with the same permanent disqualification in the succeeding election. 

To help candidates avoid this disqualification pitfalls, the Center for Global Best Practices is launching a pioneering one-day seminar to  guide and help candidates in the correct preparation of the Statement of Election Contribution and Expenditures on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.
