Curfew tuloy kahit tapos na ang Bayanihan Act - Malacañang
MANILA, Philippines — Tuloy pa rin ang ipinatutupad na mga curfew kahit tapos na ang Republic Act 11469 o Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, kahit tapos na ang Bayanihan Act, hindi maaring huminto ang National Government na tugunan ang problema ng COVID-19.
Inihayag ito ni Roque kasunod ng komento ni Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon na hindi na maaring ipatupad ng gobyerno ang mga curfews at pagbabawal sa mass gatherings dahil nagtapos na ang Bayanihan Act.
Muling binanggit ni Roque na ang mga ordinansa na ipinalabas ng mga local government units tungkol sa curfews ay epektibo pa rin.
Sinabi rin ni Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na ang pahayag ni Drilon ay mapanganib at humihikayat sa mga mamamayan na manggulo at sirain ang katahimikan ng bansa.
“Senator Drilon’s comments with respect thereto, and with due respect to him, are not only misplaced but it dangerously encourages citizens to engage in acts detrimental to the safety and security of the populace, as well as the peace and order of the nation,” ani Panelo.
