Digong pinagreretiro na si Pacquiao sa boxing
MANILA, Philippines — Nais ni Pangulong Duterte na magretiro na sa boxing si Sen. Manny Pacquiao matapos talunin nito via technical knockout (TKO) si WBA welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse kahapon.
“I’d like to see my friend rest on his laurels at this time and enjoy life,” wika ng Pangulo matapos manood ng live sa laban ni Pacquiao sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“He (Pacquiao) has so much money already, no problem,” sabi pa ni Pangulong Duterte matapos batiin ang pambansang kamao sa kanyang panalo kontra Argentinian boxer na si Matthysse sa kanilang laban kahapon ng umaga sa Axiata Arena sa Kuala Lumpur.
“I would like to congratulate Senator Manny Pacquiao for giving us pride and bringing the Filipino nation together once more,” wika pa ng Pangulo.
“You have proven time and again that you are not just a public servant, but one of the greatest boxers of all time. This win will surely cement, yet again, your position and legacy in boxing’s Hall of Fame. May you continue to inspire Filipinos not only in boxing but also in the public service,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.
Kasama ng Pangulo si SAP Bong Go at ilang tauhan ng Presidential Security Group habang nanood din sina Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, DFA Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano at Sec. Jun Esperon.
