Banat Opinyon

Ang pagpabiling batan-on

SENIOR CITIZEN - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Ato na kining gihisgotan dinhi, kadaghan na, nga despite sa atong mga edad, we can stay young: young in looks, young in thinking, young at heart.

“Stick with the young-minded. Suround yourself with the ones who you admire, who make you more energetic, and younger.

Be it our close family, a group of friends, a beloved pet,  our children, your parent, spouse, flatmates, people from the community ... whoever gets you this chill of excitement or nice warm feeling around the heart.”

Pakigsuod uban sa mga tawo nga makahatag kanimo’g inspirasyon, naghupot og batan-ong panghunahuna, dili tiniguwang (kay mosamot ta’g katiguwang ini).

Importante kaayo ang atong mga social connections. Ania: “Spend with the young-minded around you (and if you don’t have them, look for them). Why? Because science proves it’s a key to long and happy life. The famous Harvard study revealed that, among so many hacks, theories, and methods there is one simple explanation. It’s in our social connections. Invest your time in health relationships. It can save your life -- literally.”

Tan-awa una kaimportante ang social connections. Aduna kini kalabotan sa pagpataas sa atong kinabuhi. Gawas sa mga sakop sa panimalay, pakighigala with others, make social contact with people nga adunay optimistic nga panglantaw. Karon nga gipa-stay home pa kita, kontaka sila by phone.

Adunay mga habits nga gisugyot:

1.Take chances every day. Is it signing up for a new e-learning course? Volunteering for a challenge at work? Just some small actions that will make you go out of your comfort zone. No worries, every day is full of those opportunities.

3.Laugh at yourself. Every time you laugh, it’s like taking a miracle pill for your health. Laughter can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system, improve brain functioning, and even protect your heart.

Bisa’g tiguwang na, batan-on gihapon tan-awon. Let’s talk more about laughter (nga giisip nga usa ka internal jogging), sa sunod natong lindog.

4.Ask a childlike question. Nganong green man ang mga dahon? Nganong pula man ang rose? Ug daghan pang binata nga mga pangutana. Ang tubag, i-google ni.

5.Exercise daily. Dili pa man ta makagawas, Indoor exercises lang. Stretching, bending ug ubang matang sa pag-exercise.

6.Do one thing from daily routine, differently. Cook something uncommon, inom og laing brand sa tea o coffee, etc.

7.Invest at least 30 minutes daily for self-education. There are so many ways to learn for free.

Again, be young in looks, young in thinking, young at heart.
