Local vaccine manufacturing

Kini sumala sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Napatik sa Philippine Star: “The government is in discussion with numerous pharmaceutical companies that have expressed intent to establish vaccine manufacturing facility in the country. Six companies are in advanced talks with the government,” nagkanayon si DOST Undersecretary Rowena Guevara.

Ug nia pa, usa ka kompaniya nga adunay “long-term” partnership with a Chinese drugmaker, interesado usab niining local manufacturing sa bakuna.

If they pursue what we think are their plans, based on what they have told us, it looks like they can start producing vaccines by late 2022.

Kon mahinayon man, medyo madugay-dugay pa, apan, maayo na lang mag-depende kita mga bakuna nga gama sa ubang nasud, nga wala kita masayod  hangtud kanus-a pa kutob ang pagka-kinahanglanon sa mga bakuna.

As of April 13, the country has administered 1,255,716 COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Public-private partnership.

Sa kaulohan, ato kining kutloon: “The city opened on Monday a vaccination site at SM City North EDSA’s Skydome to cater to mall employees who fall under the A1 to A3 categories, particularly those who are medical frontliners, senior citizens and adults with comorbidities.” So, nindot kaayo, ug daghan dayon ang nabakunahan.

Matud ni Mayor Joy Belmonte, “the partnership allowed the mall operator to put together its own team of doctors and nurses to help inoculate those who are in the priority list of vaccine recipients.

The city has had numerous partnerships with the private sector throughout the pandemic, and we’re glad to be working with them still as we vaccinate our residents and immunize them against COVID.”

Nindot kaayo, di ba?  Tinabangay gyud!
