Banat Opinyon

Ang mga senior panahon sa pandemic

SENIOR CITIZEN - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

In my case, OK lang ko niini, after all kaayohan man kini kanatong mga senior citizen.

Ato kining kutloon, gikan sa Internet: “The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing chaos worldwide and this is a hard time for so many.”

Kaayo, nakahasol ug nakahatag kini og dakong kasakit sa katawhan sa tibuok kalibotan.

“We need to hang in there - these crazy times will pass. In the meantime, we need to adjust our activitiy planning in accordance with new rules and regulations. Many of us are now in complete lockdown situations.”

Gikan sa Internet: “Support for older people, their families and their caregivers is an essential part of the countries’ comprehensive response to the pandemic. During times of isolation and quarantine, older people need safe access to nutritious food, basic supplies, money, medicine to support isolation, their physical health, and social care.”

Dugang pa: “Dissemination of accurate information is critical to ensuring that older people have clear messages and resources on how to stay physically and mentally healthy during the pandemic and what to do if they should fall ill.”

Dugang pa gyud: “Get creative to counteract the restrictions of COVID-19 on your social interactions.  Social distancing restrictions from COVID-19 are increasing loneliness for many older adults. Online interactions can help minimize feelings of sadness, loss and depression. Build a virtual support community to expand your social network and sense of connection to others.”

Niay mga pangutana:  “Are you missing the interactions with your church group? Is a “No Visitors” policy keeping you from someone you love? Although it may feel otherwise, you are not alone.”

Kon mao kini, wala ikaw mag-inusara. Daghan kitang nahimutang ning maong kahimtang.

Kon ikaw nagpanuigon na’g 65 pataas, “the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has probably changed how you interact with the people you care about. Social distancing and self-quarantine may be limiting your exposure to infection. But if you’re like millions of people nationwide, it’s also limiting your social interactions and increasing your loneliness and feelings of isolation.”

Ato kining padayonon sa sunod lindog sa Senior Corner.
