Banat Opinyon

Kanus-a man gyud ma-available ang vaccines sa atong nasud?

IYO ANTOY - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Ang tubag: “The government is currently in the advanced stages of negotiations with various vaccine manufacturers. We expect the first vaccine supply to arrive in the first quarter of 2021.”

Apan, niay laing item sa Internet nga nagkanayon: “Philippines eyes start of COVID-19 vaccine rollout by end-February 2021.” Mao kini ang laraw sa atong gobyerno. Mas sayo kay sa pangagpas Google.

Matud pa: “Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr says that once doses are delivered to the Philippines, some 50,000 health workers in Metro Manila could be vaccinated in February,”

Dugang ni Galvez: “Doses expected to arrive in February would ‘most likely’ come from GAVI’s COVAX facility, with the multilateral initiative currently finalizing deals to distribute some 30 billion doses of a vaccine to developing countries for an early rollout.”

At least aduna nay kahayag nga atong makita at the end of the tunnel.

Dugang ni Galvez, Sinovac gikan sa China, lagmit ma-sayo pag-abut. didthis story make you feel?

Who will get the vaccine first? Tubag: “Health officials earlier said the government would prioritize distributing COVID-19 vaccines to priority groups including frontline health workers in high risk areas such as Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Cebu City, and Davao City.”

What’s the status with negotiations? Tubag: “The Philippines has so far signed deals to purchase at least 30 to 40 million doses of Novavax’ vaccine, while tripartite agreements with local government units and the national government has secured at least 13 million of AstraZeneca’s vaccine for Filipinos.

Niay laing headline: “Biden gets COVID-19 vaccine on TV.” Dec. 21 pa ni nga release. “President elect  Joe Biden was inoculated with Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on live television Monday. “I’m doing this to demonstrate that people should be prepared, when it’s available, to take the vaccine.”

Ug sila si Vice President Mike Pence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), ug ubang mga sakop sa Kongreso nagpabakuna na usab.”

Kita dinhi, unsa man? Hadlok sila?
