‘Sa man, atong i-lockdown ang Pasko?

Lakip karong adlawa, 32 na lang ka adlaw, Pasko na. Apan, lahi sa una natong pagsaulog sa Pasko, dili kita makapaabot ug bright Christmas. Sa ato pa, gloomy Christmas? Matud pa, the joyous season this year may not be as bright.

Niya pa: “Let not COVID-19 lock down our Christmas joy and family togetherness. God has come down to be with us. We accept him together as a family in our homes. Let us be creative this year in celebrating God’s presence among us. We do not allow COVID-19 to deprive us of Christmas joy. God is with us.”

Bitaw, despite sa pandemic, ato gihapong i-welcome ang Batang Hesus. Atong saulogon ang Pasko sulod sa atong mga kasingkasing, sulod sa atong mga panimalay, uban sa tanang sakop sa atong banay.

At least, gumikan sa pandemic, gumikan sa atong pagka-lockdown sulod sa atong mga pinuy-anan, lahi tingali sa una natong pagsaulog sa Pasko karon, diin ang atong mga anak atua magsaulog uban sa ilang barkada o mga classmates, ang amahan atua uban sa kauban niyang mga negosyante o mga  officemates or with somebody else; samtang ang asawa busy usab kaayo pakighugoyhugoy uban sa mga sakop sa high society club.

Apan karon, nga gihipos kita sulod sa atong mga panimalay, mapugos kita pagsaulog sa Pasko uban sa tanang sakop sa pamilya, diin atong kahatagan sa tinud-anay nga kahulogan ang Pasko.

So, despite the pandemic, saulogon gihapon nato ang Pasko with much fervor and passion.

Padayon ni Bishop Pabillo: “People can use the quarantine restrictions imposed during the pandemic as a perfect time to re-create their special bonding together as a family.

“In years past, we have been accustomed to external and consumerist ways of celebrating these seasons. The malls and the stores had dictated our Christmas… Let us bring Advent and Christmas to our families with prayers, family religious services and joy.”

Inig Misa de Gallo aduna may mga online masses. Ang nakanindot, bisan kon dili kita makasimba personal sulod sa simbahan kay lisud ang pag-observe sa social o physical distancing, ang tibuok sakop sa panimalay (basta di lang tapulan momata’g sayo) magkahiusa pagtambong sa Santos nga Misa.
