Project SHOPEE

IYO ANTOY - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Usa man ni? Proyekto kini sa Department of Manpower Development & Placement (DMDP) sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo.

SHOPEE, nagkahulogan og Seniors’ Healthy Opportunity to Productive Employment & Empowerment.

Ang Balaud 9994 kon Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010 nagkanayon: “Senior citizens who have the capacity and desire to work, or be re-employed, shall be provided information and matching services to enable them to be productive members of society.

“Terms of employment shall conform with the provisions of the Labor Code, as amended, and other laws, rules, and regulations.”

Ang ilang tumong: “to capacitate and tap the potentials of the elderly and re-integrate them as productive members of society.”

Ug tungod kay may kalabutan man kini sa laraw bahin sa pagpanarbaho mga senior citizens, ang maong proyekto i-coordinate uban sa Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) ning dakbayan. Although ang main task would be by the DMDP.

Basic Communication Skills, Industry Knowledge on Tourism, Food Handling & Food Safety, ABCs of Image, Obligation of the Employees, Basics of Customer Service (handling complaints).

Ug alang sa mga pribadong employer, ania kining dugang provision sa Balaud  9994: Private employees that will employ senior citizens shall be entitled to an additional deduction from their gross income, equivalent to fifteen percent (15%) of the total amount paid as  salaries and wages to senior citizens, subject to the provisions of Sec. 34 of the NIRC, as amended.

“The Department of Labor and Employment, in coordination with other government agencies such as, but limited to the Technology & Livelihood Center (TLRC), and the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) shall asses, design, and implement training programs that will provide skills and welfare or livelihood support for senior citizens.”

So, more or less, mora’g nakauna na niini ang DMDP, ug daku ang kahigayunan nga magmalampuson kining maong proyekto.
