3 ka teams sa host Cebu
CEBU, Philippines — Ang host Cebu mopadala og tulo ka teams sa giatngan nga Palarong Pambansa Boxing VisMin Cup nga gikatakda karong Hulyo 12-15 diha sa Cebu City Sports Center.
Gawas sa Cebu City, mga nangambisyon nga magboksidor gikan sa Cebu Province ug Cebu North ang mopakita sab og aksiyon sa upat ka adlaw nga torneyo.
Makigbinukbukay sila sa mga amateur fighters gikan sa Ormoc, Negros Occidental ug Iloilo City sa Visayas ug Davao region ug Cagayan de Oro City sa Mindanao.
“Naa diha ang dekalidad nga mga boxers and of course, DepEd is in search of new boxers with the complete techniques especially in Region 7. I believe naa diha ang soon nato ma-discover nga Manny Pacquaio,” matud pa ni tournament manager Ludy Ceriales atol sa usa ka virtual press conference kagahapon.
Ang kompetisyon dunay lima ka weight classes sa duha ka age groups.
Kini mao ang pinweight, light flyweight, flyweight, light bantamweight ug bantamweight sa Juniors division (15 ngadto sa 16 anyos) ug ang light flyweight, flyweight, bantamweight, lightweight, ug light welterweight sa Youth category (17 ngadto sa 18 anyos).
Sa dili pa ang pinaksitay ibabaw sa ring, si Ceriales, ang labing una ug bugtong Pinay 3-star referee/judge sa International Boxing Association (AIBA), mopahigayon og duha ka adlaw nga National Boxing Refresher Course sa Hulyo 10-11. Libre kini apan limitado lamang sa nag-unang 200 nga makaparehistro.
“I hope daghan pud nga babaye na participants because I really want to produce more female boxing referee-judge like me,” dason pa ni Ceriales.
