Sa 158 ka EWAs sa Visayas, 40 niini nabutang sa classification sa areas of concern; 92 ang classified isip areas of immediate concern ug 26 ang classified isip areas of grave concern.
“Election is fast approaching, and preparations must be made as early as possible", sigon ni Lieutenant General Benedict Arevalo, Commander sa VISCOM.
Gihimug-atan sab ni Commander Arevalo nga suhdan na ang pag-assess sa mga hulga may labot sa eleksyon.
“Let us start assessing our EWAs, the private armed groups, and even the threats to our politicians. As we have learned, the threat to our politicians continues even after the election. So, they should be monitored not only before and during the election, but also even after the election," ni Arevalo pa.
Subay na sa COMELEC Resolution No. 10902 ang election period magsugod sa August 28 hantod sa November 29 ning tuiga. Ang campaign period magsugod sa October 19 hantod sa 28 samtang ang Election Day inig Oktubre 30.
Base sa classifications nga gihimo sa COMELEC, PNP ug AFP ang areas of concern mao kining mga areas nga dunay election-related incidents sa milabay nga duha ka piniliay, dunay intense political rivalry, ug dunay presensiya sa armed groups.
Ang areas of immediate concern mao kining mga lugar nga dunay presensiya sa NPA, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) ug ubang threat groups nga mahimong makabalda sa eleksyon.
