P3.2M uniporme sa tanod sa siyudad

CEBU, Philippines — Mogasto ang kagamhanan sa Siyudad sa Sugbo og P3.2 milyones alang sa uniporme sa 1,600 ka barangay tanod.

Matud ni Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) Cebu City president Franklyn Ong nga ang pagsul-ob og uniporme sa mga tanod mo-signify sa papel nila sa barangay.

“There is a need to provide these personnel with two sets of uniform as wearing their uniform provides a psychological deterrent on would-be offenders aside from signifying their role and function, thus helps improve the peace and order situation of the city,” sigon ni Ong.

Giaprobahan na sa konseho sa siyudad ang resolusyon ni Ong kinsa ex-officio member sa maong konseho. Sigun ni Ong nga naaprobahan na sab ni Mayor Tomas Osmeña ang pag-charge sa P3.2 milyones ngadto sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Funds.

Usa sa guidelines sa paggamit sa PAGCOR Funds mao ang kwarta gamiton sa mga programa nga makapalambo sa peace and order sa siyudad.

Gisukip ni Ong ang proposal gikan ni Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse and Prevention (COSAP) Executive Director Garry Lao nga aprobado na ni Osmeña. Matag tanod dunay tagduha ka uniporme diin matag usa mokantidad og P1,000.

“The COSAP built partnership with the barangays in carrying-out its substance abuse and prevention function by mobilizing the 1,600 tanod personnel of the barangays in the City of Cebu,” dugang ni Ong.
