Osmeña gustong maangkon ang mayoriya sa konseho
CEBU, Philippines — Gusto pareho nila ni Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña ug ni Association of Barangay Council (ABC) President ug Tisa Barangay Captain Phillip Zafra nga madayon ang piniliay karong buwan sa Mayo ning tuiga.
Giaprubahan sa House of Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms ang planong pag-oktaba sa Barangay ug Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Election ngadto na sa Oktubre 8, 2018 imbes karong Mayo.
Si Osmeña nanghinaot nga babagan kini sa Senado kay gusto na niyang mapulihan pagka presidente sa ABC si Zafra ug aron usab nila makuha ang Sangguniang Kabataan ug mayoriya sa Konseho sa siyudad.
“You are toying around with democracy. Democracy is what I strongly believe in, just to remind people the essence of democracy if you choose your leader, democracy means elections,” matud sa mayor.
“I want to campaign and I want to remind the people that I need the ABC Presidency, I need the support of the people. I need the support of barangay captains who are going to support me, its critical now because its tie in the council, so there’s two seats at stake the ABC and the SK so I don’t like it postponed,” dugang pa ni Osmeña.
Samtang si Zafra miingon nga susama sila og tinguha ni Osmeña kay ang katawhan adunay katungod nga mopili og leader.
“Well, that’s a political stand on his side ato lang respetuan, human sa pila ka higayon nga sige og pagpanguyab nato wala gyud nisugot kay para nako dili kinahanglan nga motapon ta og laing partido o grupo para lang imong ipadayon ang pagserbisyo,” sigon ni Zafra. (BANAT NEWS)
