Tulo ka Cebuano innovators napilian sa Pinnovation Academy

CEBU, Philippines — Tulo ka mga Sugbuanong ‘innovators’ sa 15 top innovators ang naapil sa top five innovators sa Visayas nga gipasiugdahan sa Pinnovation Academy sa gihimong blended national press conference niadtong Pebrero 15, 2022.

Ang tulo nga mga organisasyon mao ang: Hagdan Kinatarcan Langub Workers’ Association (HAKILAWA) sa Sta. Fe, Cebu;  Purok Pading Farmers’ Association (PPFA) sa Tabogon, Cebu; ug Sexuality, Pride, Equality, Truth, Respect and Unity of San Remigio (SPEqTRUMS) sa lungsod sa San Remigio.

Ang Pinnovation (Pinoy + Innovation) Academy nagtinguha nga matudloan ang mga innovators sa mga komunidad, mga maguuma, mananagat ug ordinaryong molupyo sa kalungsoran nga makigalayon sa Disaster Risk Reduction and Management sa ilang lugar.

Gikan sa 67 proposals nga giduso niadtong nakalabay nga tuig 15 innovators ang napilian nga mahatagan og technical ug financial support alang sa testing/prototyping sa ilang imbensyon.

Ang naapil sa top 15 mahatagan og full grant nga Php 500,000.00 ug technical support pinaagi sa pagtudlo kanila ug capacity development sessions.

Gikatakda sab sila nga mosalmot sa nagkalain-laing adbokasiya kaabag sa mga lokal DRROs.

“Communities are innovative. Organized vulnerable communities are even more innovative as they are confronted, daily, with different challenges — socio-economic, etc. The Tambon 2.0 Project is a testament to this, a project thought of and developed by fisherfolks themselves through years of experience and observations. These community-developed innovative solutions only need an opportunity to be recognized and supported, and Pinnovation Academy gave that opportunity,” matud pang Julrod Prino sa Panay Center for Disaster Preparedness (PCDR).

Ang Pinnovation Academy nagtinguha nga mahimong institusyon ang Filipino (Pinoy) Innovation aron ang komunidad makat-on bahin sa mga katalagman ug climate-related nga mga problema, mosugyot og mga solusyon aron nga ang mga komunidad maandam batok niini.

Earthquake drill

Tungod wala may face to face classes, ang mga ginikanan sa mga tinun-an sa public schools nga nagkuha og learning modules maoy gipasalmot sa gihimong earthquake drills sa Dakbayan sa Talisay.

Ang simultaneous nga earthquake drill gihimo sa Talisay City Risk Reduction and Management Council nga gisalmotan sa 44 ka public schools. –  IBM (BANATNEWS)
