Kasaulogan sa National Heroes Day gipahinungod usab sa frontliners
CEBU, Philippines — Sa kasaulogan sa National Heroes Day kagahapon nihatag si Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella sa iyang pagyukbo sa mga bayani.
Matud ni Labella nga magsilbing inspirasyon ang binuhatan sa mga bayani nga nanalipod gyud sa nasud.
“I am hopeful that through their bravery, we are inspired to respond to the call of the times and make sacrifices to preserve and protect our liberties and fight against all that threatens our independence”, matud ni Labella.
Si Labella nagkanayon nga sa kasamtangang sitwasyon ang hiyas sa mga bayani makita usab sa tanang frontliners nga nakigbatok sa COVID-19.
“In honor of their heroism, let us all be inspired by their dedication and strengthen our resolve as we overcome our challenges, anchored on the virtues set by the forefathers of our country”, ni Labella pa.
Ang kalihokan nga gihimo sa Cultural and Historical Affairs Office (CHAO) kagahapon mao ang flag-raising ug wreath-laying ceremonies diha sa Rizal Memorial Library and Museum Building nga gitambongan sa mga representante ni Labella ug Bise Mayor Michael Rama. Ang tema sa maong kalihokan mao ang “Heroism of Each Filipino, Key to Victory and Humanity” (Kabayanihan ng Bawat Pilipino, Susi sa Tagumpay at Pagkatao). Gipahigayon usab sa CHAO kagahapon ang webinar kalabot sa kinabuhi ni Juan Diyong, usa ka Boholano nga nangulo sa pagdiskubre sa Municipality of San Fernando, Cebu niadtong 1887.
Matud sa hepe sa CHAO Bryner Diaz nga gipahinungod usab ngadto sa frontliners ang kasaulogan karong tuiga sa National Heroes Day.
