Labella tulo ka semanang mopahuway

CEBU, Philippines — Sugod karong adlawa, si Vice Mayor Michael Rama maoy magsilbing acting Mayor sa dakbayan sa Sugbo human nga si Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella nag-leave of absence sulod sa tulo ka semana aron makapahuway subay sa rekomendasyon sa iyang doktor.

Sa gipagawas nga pamahayag ni Mayor Labella sa iyahang panglawas,  niadtong buwan sa Enero gidala siya sa tambalanan gumikan sa ear infection apan nasuta nga dili lang kini mao ang iyahang gipamati.

Samtang naa matud pa sa ospital ug sa mga tests nga gihimo nakita nga duna siyay impeksyon sa dugo o sepsis ug matud pa hapit siya mamatay.

Gitambagan siya sa iyahang doktor nga mopahuway una sa trabaho sulod sa pila ka buwan aron hingpit gyud nga maayo sa gihambin niini nga balatian.

Apan tungod sa pagsaka sa mga kaso sa Covid-19 niadtong bulan sa Pebrero gipadaplin una niya ang rekomendasyon.

“I will take this opportunity to pay greater attention to my recovery. During the next three weeks, I will be undergoing a medical workup to make sure there are no more infections sa akong lawas. Through this, I will just be in the City of Cebu,” ni Labella pa.

 “It is on the spirit of transparency and accountability that I am making public the state of my health.  I have come to realize that it is important for me to focus on my recovery so I can also take care of the people of the City of Cebu. I am not getting any younger.
