Niadtong Hunyo 16  gipabalik sa Inter-Agency Task Force ang Cebu City sa Enhanced Community Quarantine tungod sa pagsaka sa mga kaso sa COVID-19 kada adlaw, na-extend pa gyud kini hangtod sa Hulyo 15.

Tungod kini sa pagpasagad sa mga tawo nga wala na mosunod sa health protocols. Gipadala ni Duterte si Sec. Roy Cimatu aron pangulohan ang COVID-19 response sa siyudad.

Hulyo 16 gipaubos ang siyudad sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine hangtud Hulyo 31. Kini human naobserbahan ang paghinay na sa pagkatap sa virus sa siyudad ug wala na mameligro ang healthcare system niini.

Kagahapon sa buntag, si Duterte mianunsyo nga paubsan na ang quarantine level ang siyudad.

Si Mayor Edgardo Labella miingon nga maayo kini tungod kay subli nang makapangabli ang mga balay patigayon ug makapabangon kini sa ekonomiya.

“I would like to thank our valiant frontliners who continue to battle COVID-19 and help the afflicted sometimes at great cost to themselves risking their own lives. I would like to thank also my fellow workers in government especially at the Cebu City Government, the City Health employees and officials who continue to go beyond their call of duty to help our community, dako usab kaayo akong pasalamat sa Inter-Agency Task Force most especially to Sec. Roy Cimatu and General Mel Feliciano for their guidance and support to fight this invisible enemy,” matud ni Labella.

Nagpasalamat sab si Labella sa mga Sugbuanon nga nikooperar sa kagamhanan aron mabatukan ang pandemiya.

“Wear mask, regularly wash our hands, stay at home, go out only if it’s really necessary and observe physical distancing when out for essential errands. Let us continue to pray for one another, even as we work together to fight this pandemic.
