‘Meningo’ sa Dumaguete gisusi
CEBU, Philippines — Padayong gisusi sa Department of Health ang gikatahong kaso sa meningococcemia sa Dakbayan sa Dumaguete sa Negros Oriental.
Matud ni Dr. Van Phillip Baton, Medical Officer III sa DOH-7, nga nasayud na si DOH-7 Regional Director, Dr. Jaime Bernadas, sa maong taho nga giingong susama sa nahitabong meningococcemia scare sa Sugbo pipila na ka tuig ang nakalabay.
Gihulagway ni Baton ang meningococcemia nga usa ka normal flora sa kadaghanan sa mga tawo apan iyang gipasabot nga mahimong positive ang usa ka tawo niini kun kini low immune system, nag-inom og tambal, tiguwang na kaayo ug bata kaayo.
“What do you need to protect themselves again if you are sick quarantine yourself, if you need to go out you can actually just wear your mask to protect yourself kasi droplet din kasi yung meningo so yun that would tell you how to protect your selves. So if dumaan ka sa hospital hindi ka infected, if dumaan ka sa jeep, no cause for alarm,” pasabot ni Baton.
Giingong na-admit sa Holy Child Hospital ug nagpakita og sintomas sa maong viral disease hinungdan nga gihuwat pa ang confirmatory test sa blood sample sa pasyente kinsa gibalhin na karon sa Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital alang sa dugang treatment. /GMR (BANATNEWS)
