Loot magpa-imbestigar sa NBI

CEBU, Philippines — Gihangyo sa retiradog heneral, kanhi Daanbantayan mayor Vicente Loot ang National Bureau of Investigation sa paghimo og kinaugalingon nga imbestigasyon sa bag-ong pasangil nga nalambigit na sab siya sa ilegal nga drugas.

Kini isip tubag ni Loot sa pamahayag ni Police Regional Office 7 Director Debold Sinas nga mismo si Presidente Rodrigo Duterte ang nakadawat sa impormasyon sa giingong pagbalik ni Loot sa ilegal nga negosyo.

Matud ni Loot nga bisan nasayud siya nga inosente siya sa mga pasangil sukad sa sinugdanan apan nihangyo siya sa NBI nga mopahigayon og imbestigasyon labot sa tanang pasangil.

Sumala pa ni Loot nga mga bakak nga impormasyon ang gipagawas ug nagtuo ang Presidente nga sakto.

“I am willing to face those charges if true, and will make myself available for interview or requests for information about my life and activities if it will help expedite your investigation,” matud ni Loot sa iyang suwat ngadto sa NBI-7.

“Mayor Vicente Loot performed his mandated functions in the campaign against illegal drugs activities in his town in Daanbantayan, Cebu as mandated in Sec. 51 of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002 and has not committed any violation. The assets of Mayor Loot and wife Ma. Luisa Loot which are mostly on the form of real properties and business interest, many of which were brought by wife Ma. Luisa Loot into her marriage with the Mayor in 1991, could not be established as being derived from illegal drugs,” matud sa report sa CIDG.
