Hontiveros: pagkonbikto ni Imelda mahimo untang sumbanan
CEBU, Philippines — Si Senadora Risa Hontiveros nanghinaot nga ang bag-ong ruling diin gikonbikto ang kanhi Unang Ginang Imelda Marcos sa kasong graft and corruption magsilbi kining "crucial electoral guide" ngadto sa mga botante karong umaabot nga eleksyon.
"The people must not allow historical revisionism and the shameful trail of plunder, murder and dictatorship to win in the ballot box. The Filipino people must not allow our elections to be used to invalidate the people's struggle against the Marcos dictatorship," matud pa ni Hontiveros sa gipadala nga press statement sa Banat News.
Nanawagan usab si Hontiveros ngadto sa publiko nga tutukan ang uban pang mga kaso batok sa mga Marcos.
Dugang niya nga dili angay tugotan ang pamilyang Marcos nga ma-inpluwensiyahan ug pagpakgang sa tinguha sa pagpangita sa kamatuoran, hustisya ug tulubagon.
"This is an important lesson in justice. The Marcoses may be able to temporarily evade accountability, they may be able, for the moment, to cheat history and whitewash their crimes with the use of "alternative facts" and fake news, they may climb their way back to power and even hide behind the back of President Rodrigo Duterte, but justice will eventually push its way through their walls of impunity," matud pa sa senadora.

"The verdict elicits jubilation, a long standing prayer of the people has been answered but then again it would be safe to say that with the Duterte’s administration’s close affinity with the Marcoses, Imelda will be pardoned unconditionally,” matud pa ni Leody de Guzman, chairperson sa BMP.
