Reality and practicality drive both big and small players in the industry to an evolution, revolution or their end. As a result, diffusion or junior lines (merchandise created by a designer or high-end brand at a much cheaper price range) are born to service the need for affordable designer/retail fashion.

In the Philippines, internationally renowned fashion accessories brand Joanique will launch its junior brand called Joanique Mix on May 30 at the Joanique Studio in Makati City.

Joanique Mix is a vision of modern and distinct Filipino handmade artistry. The brand is a youthful spin of Joanique, whose fashion statement has distinctly captivated the world and brought pride to our country.

The soon-to-be must-haves of every style savvy girl are quirky, young and free-spirited pieces, set to take the local style scene by storm by “mixing” things up. Playing up with creativity, the brand’s first collective called Tropical collection is a showcase of acrylic pieces in bold and eye-catching colors. Fashioning the pieces’ fun and chic designs are animals such as parrots, toucans, honeybee, dragonfly and botanicals like the monstera leaves. 

The birth of this junior brand is a testament of the changing times, to transcend artisanal pieces and move them fashion forward. The future is in the mix.
