MANILA, Philippines — PBA cager Maverick Ahanmisi, the brother of Falcons guard Jerrick, aired on Twitter his frustration over the result of the La Salle-Adamson 80th UAAP men's basketball semis game.

Shortly after the Falcons fell prey to the reigning titleholders Green Archers, the Rain or Shine guard went on a series of social media postings criticizing the game’s officiating and even threatening La Salle guard Kib Montalbo.

After a couple of minutes, the older Ahanmisi gave an explanation of sorts.

In control for almost three quarters, the Falcons squandered a 15-point lead in the fourth period. La Salle went on a 14-0 rampage that was capped off by Aljun Melecio’s to wrest the lead from Adamson and eventually the game, 82-75.

By the end of the buzzer, Falcons head coach Franz Pumaren also called out the officials, shouting “worst officiating!” on his way to the dugout.

The loss halts Adamson’s decent campaign at the Final Four phase, where they also lost to La Salle. During that meeting, the Falcons bowed down to the eventual champions, 69-64.
