TNT KaTropa guard R. R. Pogoy said the other day he’s in the market for 30 to 40 tickets to give to friends and relatives for the PBA All-Star Game at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, on Sunday.
There’s never been any doubt that former FEU star guard R. R. Garcia can play the game at a high level. But on his fourth PBA season, Garcia is still looking for a home to build his future. He’s gone from GlobalPort to Barako Bull to Phoenix to Star to San Miguel Beer and now, to TNT. It’s not as if Garcia’s stock is plummeting.
This year’s PBA All-Star Week will be different from any other since the pro league institutionalized the extravaganza in 1989. Three games are scheduled to celebrate the annual event with the Philippine national team going up against a region-flavored selection in Cagayan de Oro tomorrow, Lucena on Friday and Cebu on Sunday.
