Tuwang-tuwa kami, Salve A., sa characters na ginagampanan both nina Edgar Mortiz at Rio Locsin sa sobrang nagti-trending na series on ABS-CBN, Dolce Amore.
They are husband and wife, both in their middle age, who, hindi man sila mayaman, maligaya sila. They are ideal parents to their son (Kean Cipriano) and ampon (Enrique Gil).
No wonder that wala ring label ang pagtitinginan ng magkapatid. If, at all, they can very well be labeled as partners in crime, na may consent ang parents.
Come to think of it, mukhang tumatabang lalo itong si Frenchie.
In any case, guess who is playing her husband sa Dolce Amore? Daniel Padilla’s dad, Rommel Padilla.
Rommel was also in the katatapos na pre-noontime series, Ningning, which child actress Jana Agoncillo topbilled.
Of Edgar Mortiz and Rio Locsin, they were both stars to reckon with in their younger days.
Edgar, or still Bobot to some of his friends, was the other half of the then popular Vi and Bot love team.
Vi, of course, refers to outgoing Batangas City Governor Vilma Santos, na nasa kanyang last term na bilang head ng probinsiya. She is now running for Congresswoman of the first district of Lipa City, kung saan naging Mayor din siya for three term.
Rio was formerly a Regal Baby and was considered the sexiest among her contemporaries.
“Well, at that time,” pabirong saad ni Rio, whenever she is interviewed and reminded of her sexy image in the past.
Once married to now actor-comedian Al Tantay, with whom she has two daughters, Rio is now wife to a pastor, kung saan may isa rin siyang anak na babae.
Wari mo’y walang nagbago kay Donna Cruz, when she met with selected members of the press and several bloggers, at the launch of her comeback album, Now and Forever.
As usual, she had her mom, Yolly, for her chaperone. All eyes and ears ang kanyang mommy in her time as a multi-media star. “But now, of course” anang Mommy Yolly ni Donna. “Sinasamahan ko na lang siya, kapag kinakayag niya ako.”
Yolly and her husband now live with Donna and her family sa Cebu City, where the Larrazabals (Donna’s husband, Yong’s, an eye doctor, surname) are prominently known, as they reportedly owned a hospital.
Asked namin kay Yolly if any among Donna’s three children ay may isang eager to follow their mom’s footsteps as a singer: “Lahat sila magaganda ang boses. Bagama’t at his age, eight years old, standout na ang boses ng bunsong si Gio.
“But, of course, depende kung papayagan sila nina Donna at Yong na pumasok sa showbiz din.
“Gusto kasi nilang makatapos ang mga ito ng kanilang pag-aaral,” pahayag pa ni Yolly.
