New, fun experiences await Filipinos at SM this 2017

MANILA, Philippines — Today more than ever, Filipinos are enjoying experiencing international brands in technology, fashion and food, among other industries.

“I think we have shaped the malling landscape in the Philippines in the sense that before, to be able to partake or enjoy global brands, Filipinos had to travel abroad. This too has changed consumer mindset. San Agustin continued, “Consumers are now knowledgeable when they do their shopping or do their malling because of everything they are able to research in the internet. We now have a relatively more sophisticated consumer, to a certain degree a bit more demanding.”

That is why for 2017, SM Supermalls, the the home of global brands, makes malling even more exciting for Filipino families. From May to December, they can expect product launches, activations, promotions and fun events featuring a renowned and well-loved brand every month.

Kicking off the series of events was an innovative in-mall activation held from May 4 to May 7 at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium in Pasay City. Called the “2017 LG Innovation for a Better Life Exhibit,” it showcased the global brand’s premium products that make living fun and easy for the whole family.

Here are six of them: 

1. A washing ally for moms

Catering to moms, LG displayed the first-ever TwinWash technology. It allows washing two loads—one 21-kilogram capacity for, the other 12-kilogram capacity—at the same time. It also has the TurboClean feature that reduces washtime and resource consumption while.

2. Prolonging food freshness

LG also debuted its InstaView refrigerator the door-in-door innovation. Just knock twice on the tinted glass panel and viola, it illuminates the stored food inside. Cold air is kept and freshness of food is prolonged. The InstaView line offers 2-door or 3-door refrigeratorfor maximum space. 

3. Beat the heat this summer

4. Entertainment experience elevated

The LG G6 made an appearance at the exhibit along with its brand ambassador, Lauren Reid who talked about the smartphone’s most advanced features. This include a generous 18:9 screen, the latest FullVision display technology, an elegant metal and glass body, a dual rear camera, IP68 water and dust resistance, a long-lasting and gaming battery, an expandable memory up to 2TB, and the latest Android software. 

6. Now a smart home

LG seams all its innovation with a smart home technology called the SmartThinQ. By connecting all its SmartThinQ appliances to an LG smarthphone app, homeowners can run their homes remotely and safely.

The 2017 LG Innovation for A Better Life Exhibit was culminated by a grand raffle among visitors who completed stamps at the event.It will then travel to SM City North Edsa, SM Seaside City Cebu and SM Lanang Premier in Davao in the coming days.
