MANILA, Philippines - Meralco solidifies its partnership with the National Housing Authority (NHA) in a collaborative commitment to deliver power to homes built and provided by NHA to families who once lived in danger areas and those affected by the clearing of waterways within Metro Manila.

Under the partnership, each family will be provided with Meralco prepaid electricity service or Kuryente Load – the distribution utility’s pioneering energy solution that empowers customers to improve way of life.

Meralco Kuryente Load provides electricity that adjusts based on the household budget, and can be bought in varied denominations.

The collaboration also allows for a safer community because of the elevated metering centers (EMC), which will be a standard electrical facility in all of NHA project sites.

These EMCs provide not just community protection but have also proven to be a more economical scheme for NHA projects.

At the recent memorandum of agreement signing ceremony with NHA, Meralco SVP and head of Customer Retail Services and Corporate Communications Alfredo Panlilio said, “We thank NHA for trusting Meralco in delivering best practices to the families it serves. We take pride in being a part of the NHA in achieving its goal of uplifting the lives of the Filipino and moving towards a more progressive nation.”
