MANILA, Philippines — Leading telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT Inc., through PLDT SME Nation and wireless arm Smart Enterprise, has been chosen as a co-presenter and Internet provider for this year’s anticipated Spectrum Fair Manila.
PLDT will optimize connectivity and productivity for exhibitors and guests throughout the premium lifestyle fair, running until March 19, 2017 at Whitespace Manila in Makati.
“As we bring quality artisanal products to wider markets through this fresh, bold edition of Spectrum, we want to create a premium lifestyle shopping experience like no other,” explained Spectrum Fair Manila creator Alyssa Arellano. “For today’s online and social media-savvy patrons and merchants, we decided PLDT would be the best choice for our connectivity and technology needs.”
Mobile-first participants will stay seamlessly connected to PLDT Fibrbiz, which will also boost the digital marketing efforts for the bazaar.
In another joint effort, selected merchants have been provided with the Smart StoreManager solution, to ensure efficient operations during the two-day event. Bolstered by secure connectivity, the mobile application-based solutions suite enables automated, real-time documentation of key data generated from inventory to customer purchases.
“At PLDT SME Nation, providing customers with reliable, robust connections and business solutions is more than simply updating their tech. It’s about inspiring and helping MSMEs extend their reach and scale up to make it big. It’s the heart of what we do,” said First Vice President and Head of PLDT SME Nation Mitch Locsin.
This collaboration marks another year of successful partnership between PLDT and Spectrum, which held its first bazaar in September 2015.
Spectrum’s current fair and first installment for 2017 features an even wider, more eclectic array of lifestyle products from mostly local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Attendees can take home unique artisanal goods spanning food and fashion, as well as art pieces and home furnishings. The vibrant weekend affair also features live music from exciting up-and-coming artists.
The Philippine gifts, décor, and houseware sector, which employs almost a million people, is being primed by the government to be more competitive. To help spur on industry growth in a mobile-first, tech-savvy world, Spectrum Manila showcases the best in local craftsmanship with essential innovations from partners such as PLDT.
