Small donut, big donut: The classic glazed Krispy Kreme donut is perfect for lounging around the newly revamped store in BGC.
MANILA, Philippines - Remember that time when the donut craze first hit Manila? For Filipinos, Krispy Kreme was the holy grail. People would line up for an hour just to get their hands on these sweet suckers and post them on Instagram. We’ve come a long way since then. But we all still have that tita who brings boxes upon boxes every time they would visit. As the Krispy Kreme flagship store reopens in BGC, we are reminded why these pastries still make for the perfect pasalubong.
Located at the heart of a bustling area, the people behind Krispy Kreme know that you, too, are in a hurry. Some Krispy Kreme branches have drive-thru options (well, it’s about time!) but the flagship store has a Grab-and-Go express counter. That means no more bumping into other customers figuring out how to fill up their assorted box of goodies.

But just as much as they want you to hurry through and get on your way, the cozier ambience of the flagship store is kinda hard to resist. The Instagram-worthy neon signs and open kitchen display immediately get your attention. The smell of the freshly brewed coffee and the sight of freshly baked doughnuts will also make you want to lounge for a while, and enjoy them while they’re hot.
Another perk of being in a Krispy Kreme store is seeing the new items on their menu. (Let’s admit it: your tita won’t always know what you want.) If you’re not up for some sweets, then the Baked Creations might just suit your craving. They serve everything from a tuna turnover, a corned beef bun, to a classic ham & cheese croissant.
As if that’s not enough, Krispy Kreme also came up with a new treat of round, bite-sized donuts in different flavors like Matcha Green Tea, Red Velvet and everyone’s favorite glazed vanilla cake. The Doughnut Holes aren’t really a new concept but they still make sharing a lot more fun.
With every box of donuts comes a delightful #KrispyKremeMoment not just for the ones who receive it, but also to those who give it. I don’t know about you, but I know what I’m bringing to the next Christmas party.
