Mash-up madness

MANILA, Philippines - The best thing about our barkada slumber parties are the stories, music and food we share—pizza being the staple, of course. Now you and your barkada have more to share with the Greenwich #ULTIMATEBANDKADA mash-up meals, which are not only affordable but will also be freshly delivered to your homes.

After two months of auditions and eliminations, Greenwich’s search for the hottest mash-up talents have come down to the final eight. The Bandakada finalists that were chosen are ABCG, Alab, Musico, Shalom, Relentless, Plethora, Ace Form, and Happy Ending who proved their talents through their musicianship, charisma, voice quality and music mash-up. The bands are now training under different mentors from the music industry like award-winning singer, songwriter, producer Thyro Alfaro, emerging boy band The Juans, YouTube vlogger and singer Donnalyn Bartolome and music executives from Viva Records, MG Mozo, Civ Fontanilla, and Punch Liwanag.

All of the eight bands will perform their self-composed song on Sept. 10, 2016, at the Palace Manila in Bonifacio Global City to determine the top three winners. The top band will win P100,000 plus a management and recording contract with Viva Artist Agency. The second and third placer will bring home P60,000 and P40,000 respectively.

For those who really want their voices to be heard, you can vote for the band of your choice by grabbing a Greenwich #ULTIMATEBANDKADA mash-up meal (each meal equals a corresponding number of votes) or voting via their website: www.ultimatebandkada.com. The band with the highest number of votes will get the “Favorite ng Barkada Award.” Voting is now open until Sept. 5, 2016. So better rock that vote.
