Glitch causes long lines at MRT-3
MANILA, Philippines - Commuters were forced to wait in long lines as workers at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) rushed to repair the rail line’s signaling system during yesterday morning’s rush hour.
The MRT-3 said that it undergone “signaling troubleshooting” that caused long lines of commuters at its stations.
Twitter user @art_oca posted a photo showing commuters queuing from Mother Ignacia Avenue in Quezon City heading towards Quezon Avenue station.
Long queues were also seen at the North Avenue, Cubao, GMA Kamuning, Ayala and Taft Avenue stations.
The MRT clarified, however, that there was no “service interruption” that happened.
The MRT-3 said on its official twitter account (@dotcmrt3) that the normal operation resumed at around 8:34 a.m.
