Explosions, gunfire heard near Istanbul soccer stadium

ISTANBUL — Two loud explosions have been heard near a soccer stadium in Istanbul and witnesses say police have been deployed.

Photos and videos taken at the scene showed smoke rising from behind the newly built Besiktas Stadium.

Witnesses at the scene said gunfire could be heard in what appeared to have been an armed attack on police.
