At 2 p.m. yesterday, a low pressure area was estimated at 730 kms east of southern Luzon. The southwest monsoon affects Luzon and the Visayas.

Luzon and western Visayas will have monsoon rains.

The rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in Luzon and the Visayas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate, except during thunderstorms.

Temperature forecasts: Metro Manila, 24-30 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16-23; Tagaytay City, 22-28; Subic and Clark zone, 23-29; Metro Cebu, 26-31; Metro Davao, 25-32; and Cagayan de Oro, 22-32.

Tidal predictions in Manila Bay: high tide at 7:38 a.m. at 0.94 meter; low tide at 12:09 a.m. at 0.36 meter, and at 3:12 p.m. at 0.19 meter. Sunrise is at 5:26 a.m.; sunset at 6:23 p.m.
