MANILA, Philippines — The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China recently released a new recruitment video which uses a rap-style music to entice the youth to join the military.

The three-minute, six-second video opens as a young soldier touches his uniform and puts on his cap.

A man's voice will then be heard which says in Chinese, "There are always missions in soldiers' minds, enemies in their eyes, responsibilities on their shoulders, and passions in their hearts."

The video showcases the PLA's assets including aircraft carriers, fighter jets, ballistic missiles, satellites and spacecraft.

According to a report from People's Daily of China, the new recruitment video is the first hip-hop video made by the PLA.

On August 2015, the PLA Navy also released a recruitment video which focuses on China's struggle over its sea rights.

The Philippines earlier filed an arbitration case against China before a United Nations court to challenge the latter's nine-dash line claim over the South China Sea.

China refused to participate in the proceedings but denied that is pursuing to militarize the disputed sea despite its massive land reclamation activities in the region.
