WATCH: Pacquiao gives pink boxing gloves to Miss Universe

MANILA, Philippines - People's champ Manny Pacquiao had a brief encounter with Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach at Novotel on Thursday.

Pacquiao went to the hotel after going on a motorcade around Metro Manila, a few minutes before Wurtzbach's press conference. During their meeting, Pacquiao gave Wurtzbach a pair of pink boxing gloves before proceeding for photo ops.

The moment was captured by the camera and posted on the official page of Binibining Pilipinas.

"Oh my God. Oh Wow! Thank you," Pia exclaimed as she was receiving the gift.

Wurtzbach who arrived in Manila yesterday for the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 on Sunday also congratulated Pacman for winning against Timothy Bradley, Jr. last April 10. 

"I am so happy that in this fight you finally won. You have the Filipinos behind you on this one. Sobrang proud kami sa iyo. Grabe, na star-struck ako sa iyo Manny!"
