Azalea Baguio...and soon in Boracay

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - As the recent winner of the Distinguished Award of Service Excellence from Tripadvisor.com, Azalea Hotels & Residences Baguio lives up to the hype of such accolade. With its modern design, 4-star level of service and provider of some of the largest living spaces available through its serviced residence units, the hotel enjoys consistently good feedback from its guests. That same dedication to quality continues with the hotel’s second property, the Azalea Hotels & Residences Boracay.

Targeted for completion of Phase 1 in the first quarter of 2015, Azalea Boracay promises to give its future guests value for money in the Philippines’ premier island paradise by providing spacious accommodations and full kitchen amenities in all its rooms at very affordable prices.

Dulah Lipardo, COO and president of Azalea Hotels & Residences says, “We intend to bring that same service, commitment, quality and value we have established in Azalea Baguio to the world-famous shores of Boracay island by 2015.”

When completed, Azalea Boracay will cover a total land area of 5,700 square meters with 285 all-suite rooms. Just steps away from the famous Boracay shore, the hotel will feature the same sizable serviced residences as its Baguio counterpart, with all rooms equipped with a full kitchen, separate living and dining areas ranging from the smallest room of 30 square meters to its largest at 75 square meters.

Azalea Boracay offers a refreshing design that is wide open and spacious, featuring two rooftop pools for children and adults.

Vacationing groups, families and corporate accounts can take full advantage of a big room or have adjoining rooms. This flexible, multi-use option is guaranteed value for money and allows travelers to spend on other vacation essentials and luxuries.

The chance to put up the second hotel of their burgeoning franchise at Boracay was too compelling for Azalea Hotels & Residences CEO and chairman Marin Martinez to pass up. “We felt we should establish a presence,” he says. “And the presence was really premised on the basis of our membership concept, the Azalea Vacation Club.”

Offering a premier membership with exclusive vacation ownership privileges in all Azalea properties, the Azalea Vacation Club promises to give members valuable discounts and features in their hotel stay, especially now that a second hotel location will be made available.

“We realized that the Baguio user, at a certain point in time, was going to look for other places to use,” continues Marin. “When we decided to diversify and go into the business of tourism and leisure, we said, ‘if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do a chain,’ so that our members will have a variety of venues to choose from. It’s really more value for money.

Dulah explains that for a one-time fee, membership is for a lifetime. “That’s the value for money we offer – a high quality of service but is affordable to the Filipino,” she avers. “The membership is transferable and you get the benefits of a member such as discounts on rooms, restaurants, etc.” A share purchased in Baguio will be honored in Boracay and Azalea’s future properties.

Setting up a new hotel and competing with other more established businesses in Boracay is a continuing challenge as work proceeds towards Azalea’s completion. However, it’s something that Marin says is worth it. “We like joining the arena of challenges of providing the best value to the Filipino consumer,” he offers. “That we want to give full value for the very hard work you expended just to earn that money. We’re saying you can buy one, two, three nights from us at a very affordable price and you can stay at a 4-star establishment where you are accorded the kind of service normally seen in a 5-star hotel.”

The group plans to expand further into other destinations such as Cebu, Davao and Clark shortly after Azalea Boracay’s completion.

For club members and future guests, that means a lot more exciting vacations at a great and affordable value for everyone.

Azalea will be at the 25th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) on Sept. 5-7 at the Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex booth numbers D 124-125. Azalea Boracay is holding a pre-opening room sale for 2015++ per person. So book your travel dates early!
