Lenovo A6600: Selfies and more

MANILA, Philippines - It was my first time to get my hands on a Lenovo smartphone.  I always find that trying out gadgets for the first time is a fun experience because I am able to learn something new. And so it was with the Lenovo A6600 Plus.

For starters, the A6600 is great-looking for a smartphone that performs well, takes good photos and comes at a reasonable price. Lenovo likes to call it a multimedia powerhouse that delivers entertainment and multitasking on-the-go.

The A6600 is equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek 6735p quad-core 1.0GHz processor and 2GB RAM for great performance. With the latest Android OS – Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS – I managed to easily transfer all my data from another android smartphone to the Lenovo. Transferring all my data, contact, ringtones and photos with ease is very important to me as a user.

The easy transfer of all my smartphone contents to a new one is one of the ways by which I judge whether a smartphone is worth using or not.

That it is not a battery guzzler like my last smartphone is another plus going for Lenovo.

SELFIES AND MORE

I am not a selfie person. Truth is, I sorta shy away from lots of picture-taking.

I was on an out-of-the-country trip recently and I nearly lost my cool because the selfie photos were just taking forever. But that’s just me.

Well, I did try to take a few selfies with the A6600 and I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of the photos – not that I would ever win any awards for the selfies I take.

I did appreciate, though, the photos I took of my doggies at home with the Lenovo A6600. After all, the unit is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera, complete with a flash. It also has automatic face detection, automatic scene detection and zero shutter delay.

Making this smartphone a sure winner among photo-loving smartphone users is the expandable memory and 16GB internal storage. Add to that a battery that lasts longer than my last smartphone.

“The Lenovo A6600 Plus delivers excellent performance at a very competitive price point,” said Dino Romano, country manager at Lenovo Mobile Business Group Philippines. “Its fast processor, fast LTE connectivity, stylish big screen and brilliant camera features offer a flawless A+ user experience.”

The A6600 Plus comes in matte black and matte white versions. It retails at Lenovo stores and authorized sellers nationwide for P5,999.

Buyers can also enjoy financing options such as six months zero interest via credit cards or low monthly payments via Flexi Finance through selected dealers. Consumers may also get it for free with the Globe MyLifestyle Plan 599.
