MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao's 12-round unanimous decision victory over Timothy Bradley on Sunday did come at a price.

Pacquiao appeared en route to the victory unscathed in their rematch at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. But fate had a different plan as he and Bradley figured in an accidental head butt in the closing seconds of the final round.

Referee Kenny Bayless had to momentarily halt the action with just over 10 seconds left so the ringside doctor could attend to the ugly gash on Pacquiao's left eye. The doctor allowed Pacquiao to continue, and the two slugged it out until the final bell sounded.

Pacquiao won with scores of 116-112 (twice) and 118-110 to reclaim the WBO welterweight title he lost to Bradley in their first fight two years ago. It took him a long while to attend Sunday's post-fight conference as he got treatment for the cut.

It required a total of 32 stitches - 15 on the inside and 17 outside - to close out the cut in his left eye. Pacquiao didn't mind though, knowing he convincingly won against Bradley.

Bradley, for his part, also had a rough night after suffering a calf injury that bothered him for the rest of the bout.
