University of Santo Tomas and National University beat their respective Final Four rivals to seal a rematch for the girls' volleyball crown in the UAAP Season 77 at the Adamson University gym yesterday.

I'd say contenders for any UAAP Coach of the Year award would find Ateneo's Bo Perasol, FEU's Nash Racela, NU's Eric Altamirano and UE's Derrick Pumaren in the debate. All four coaches have turned in great performances.

Former UAAP MVP and FEU ace guard RR Garcia was on hand in FEU's 65-60 win Sunday over defending champion La Salle to take the twice-to-beat advantage entering the Final Four phase in the 77th UAAP men's basketball tourney at the MOA Arena.

A highly motivated Mike Tolomia grabbed his opportunity to atone for his previous boo-boo and delivered in the stretch this time as Far Eastern U tripped La Salle, 65-60, to secure the No. 2 seeding and twice-to-beat advantage in their UAAP Season 77 men's basketball Final Four showdown yesterday at the MOA Arena.
