PSL to hold Grand Fans' Day tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines – A brand-new season of the Philippine Superliga gets underway as players, coaches and team officials gather for a day of fun-filled activities in a Grand Fans’ Day on Saturday at the event hall of Il Centro Sta. Lucia in Cainta.

Players, including the imports, of eight competing teams are expected to be in attendance to mingle with fans and promote the opening of the import-flavored Grand Prix this fires off on February 17.

Event starts at 2 p.m. with PSL ambassador Aby Marano of F2 Logistics delivering the opening speech followed by a brief video presentation to drum up the excitement for the Grand Prix.

Then, members of the eight competing teams will be presented through a short dance or song number to entertain the fans.

There would also be games, meet and greet, autograph-signing and, of course, selfie with PSL stars.

Powerhouse Petron is tipped to be in full force as well as F2 Logistics, Sta. Lucia, Cignal, Foton, Generika-Ayala and Cocolife, which is said to be the team to beat following a massive overhaul in the off-season.

Serbian coach Moro Branislav as well as imports Sara Klisura and Taylor Milton will be in attendance for the Asset Managers together with key players Denden Lazaro, Ging Balse-Pabayo and Royse Tubino.

Petron, meanwhile, is expected to be represented by imports Lindsay Stalzer, Yuri Fukuda and Hillary Hillary with crowd-darling Mika Reyes while the Cargo Movers will have Marano, Kim Fajardo and the returning Ara Galang with imports Maria Jose Perez, Minami Yoshioka and Kennedy Bryan.
