MANILA, Philippines — The fans have spoken, and the "Greek Freak" is well on his way to a second NBA All-Star appearance

The Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo received 863,416 votes to lead all players. He bested Cleveland's LeBron James (856,080) to rule the Eastern Conference and even had more votes than Western Conference leader Kevin Durant (767,402) of the Golden State Warriors.

Boston's Kyrie Irving, meanwhile, leads the East Guards with 802,834 votes. Toronto's DeMar DeRozan is at far second with 259,368 votes.

Golden State star and fan favorite Stephen Curry tops the Western guards with 735,115 votes while Houston's James Harden is at second with 602,040.

The All-Star game will have a new format this year, ditching the traditional East versus West matchup.

The two players who will receive the most fan votes will be the captains. They will then pick their teammates from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves.

The All-Star Game starters and team captains will be revealed on January 18, while the reserves will be announced on January 23.

The 67th All-Star Game will happen on February 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Fans can still vote for their favorite players through different platforms, including the NBA's official app, Facebook and Twitter. Voting ends on January 15.
