NHA, AFP sustain run in UNTV Cup

MANILA, Philippines — National Housing Authority kept its win run going, upending defending champion Philippine National Police, 83-77, in the sixth UNTV Cup at the Upper Deck Sports Center in Pasig last weekend.

Alvin Vitug and Anton Lustestica took charge in the team’s decisive second quarter breakaway as NHA launched their second round campaign with a winning note.

Vitug sizzled for 25 points while Lustestica added 20 markers as the NHA Builders improved to 6-1 in the event organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon.

Razon recently received an AnakTV award for organizing a child-friendly basketball tournament.

Armed Forces of the Philippines, meanwhile, outlasted fellow two-time champion Judiciary, 74-62, with former Letran star Boyet Bautista, Jeffrey Quiambao and Winston Sergio leading their charge.
