Kenyans, Martes rule Nutrilite run

MANILA, Philippines — Eric Chepsiror and Jackson Chirchir made it a 1-2 finish for Kenya while Christabel Martes dominated the women’s side in the fifth Nutrilite Health Run at the Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay last Sunday.

Chepsiror clocked 1:09:25 to rule the men’s 21K race with Chirchir finishing second in 1:12:47 and Roy Dacutanan clocking 1:26:32 for third.

Martes timed 1:26:50 to beat Ma. Isabel Gallon (2:00:47) in the distaff side of the event sponsored by the world’s No. 1 vitamins and dietary supplements brand.

Rowell Galvero clocked 34:44.1 and nipped Kevin Capangpangan (34:45.9) for the 10K crown while Miscelle Gilbuena routed the women’s field with a 46:18.0 clocking with Kristine Santillan placing second in 47:57.8.

Other winners were Immuel Camimo (16:06) and Maricar Camacho (20:15) in the 5K run and Carlito Fantillaga ((04:01.9) and Jennymae Canaman (0:4:47.1) in the 1K race.

All 21K finishers got a finisher’s medal and finisher’s shirt with the 21K winners receiving P20,000 each and the top 10K finishers P10,000 each.
