Jaworski, Abundo speakers in UE confab

MANILA, Philippines — Sports management, health, and wellness will be among the topics of the second Hospitality Grand Convention, organized by the UE College of Arts and Sciences-Manila (UE CAS-Manila), Department of International Hospitality Management tomorrow at the Novotel, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.

The  convention, slated 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  has as its theme “health and wellness, cruise line management and and ports.” Among the guest speakers are former Sen. Robert “The Big J”Jaworski and former Philippine Sports Commission official Teresita “Tisha” Abundo.

A topic on the cruise line will be included in the discussion, with Allen Madria as the speaker.

UE students in tourism and hotel and restaurant management courses will comprise the audience and participants.

Abundo and Jaworski are outstanding UE alumni, who were honored by their alma mater among the “UE 60 Diamond Jubilee Alumni Achievers” during UE’s 60th foundation anniversary in September 2006.

Recently, they received recognition as among the school’s greats at the opening ceremonies of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) 80th season at the MOA Arena.
